6. 3. 2025, superadmin

From 1 March 2025, we are slightly increasing the letter fees due to the increase in the price of Czech Post services.

The updated version of the Library Rules will enter into force on 1 March 2025. It includes a change in the price list, where the fees for letters sent (letter mail) are increased. These are used by the library if a reader does not have a contact email or cell phone number filled out, or does not respond to messages sent electronically.

E-mail is fast and free

Most of our communication is done via email. We send notifications to the email address you provide about expiring loan periods, accruing late fees, or fulfilled reservations waiting to be picked up. We send these messages free of charge. Another option is to be notified of a fulfilled reservation by SMS. The fee for sending one SMS is 2 CZK.

It is important that your contact details are up to date and functional. You can check and update your contact details by logging in to the library's website in My account, in the Settings section. You can also ask a librarian to check when you visit one of the branches. You must show a valid ID (ID card, driver's license, passport or eDocuments).

Letter to the mailbox

We will only contact you by letter if you have no other contact details set up or if you do not respond to previous emails. We are increasing the price for sending a letter in connection with the increase in the price of Czech Post services.

New prices

A simple letter from the library will alert you to a completed reservation, long-unreturned books or an outstanding debt. We will now charge you 35 CZK for sending such a letter. You will see the charge in My Account.

By registered letter, the library sends a so-called pre-charge notice that you really need to settle your debts. We will now charge you 130 CZK for sending such a letter. You will see the charge in My Account.
